One Wild Ride was released by Pathé in 1925. This is a silent comedy short directed by Robert F. McGowan, part of the Our Gang / Little Rascals series.
Looking for some fun, the gang finds ingenious ways to finish their chores and then take an old Model T with no engine to make it a taxi. Since there is no engine, the gang borrows a horse that pushes the taxi and for some reason the gang won’t allow Farina to ride in the taxi.
When the horse’s owner comes and take the horse away the kids manage to talk other motorists to pull their taxi up a hill, and then the gang can coast down again. When the rest of the gang takes a break Farina climbs aboard the taxi which has become hooked onto a big truck, and he’s in for one wild ride!
In 1932 this film was remade as Free Wheeling , a talkie.
