Cradle Robbers is a 1924 comedy short film directed by Robert F. McGowan and released by Pathe’.
Upset because they want to go fishing but can’t because they have to baby sit their younger siblings, the boys of the gang are inspired when they hear that Mary’s little sister just won a nice prize at a baby show.
They try to enter their siblings in the show only to find out that all the good prizes are gone except for the one for the fattest baby. They try to enter Joe as a the fattest baby, but he escapes, so they decide to put on their own baby show.
The parents find out the babies are gone and fear the gypsies have stolen them. Meanwhile, fearing their parents’ anger, the gang hides in a gypsy wagon only to have it take off with them still inside. All ends well though, when the kids are rescued after a wild chase with the parents and police trying to run down the wagon.
