A program of performances by the students is arranged for the last day of school, but things go wrong in a hurry. Mickey , with a crush on Mary, gets in a fight with another boy over her. Jackie and Farina, both with younger siblings in the one-room school house, have trouble keeping them in hand. Eventually Farina falls into the school’s well and when the adults are outside trying to rescue him the rest of the gang gets into a food fight inside. Finally, the graduation day ceremonies are over, and school is out!
