Chumming with Chipmunks (1921)
Chumming with Chipmunks
(1921)
Documentary / Silent
This short documentary was filmed by William L. Finley (1876-1953), an early environmentalist, American wildlife photographer and conservationist. The William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge is a natural area in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, United States which was named for Mr. Finley.
The documentary shows how Finley and a chipmunk interact in the wild, slowly becoming accustomed to each other. The film is interspersed with title cards that give a good indication that Mr. Finley also had a good sense of humor.
