The Hilarious Posters
(1906)
3:22 minutes
Comedy / Fantasy / Silent
Directed by Georges Méliès
The original French title is "Les Affiches en goguette"
This film centers on a workman who glues a 'love for credit' advertisement in the middle of other advertisements on an outside wall. The posters come to life, communicating with the characters in the other advertisements. They stop interacting whenever there are people around. The characters from the posters begin to attack a swell and he goes after the cops. When the cops return, the walls fall on them. From there mayhem occurs.
