WILLIAM CAMPBELL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

William Campbell was born on October 30th, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey.  He began his education in acting by attending Fagin's School for Drama.  In 1950 Campbell began working in films, starring first in "The Breaking Point" followed by roles in such films as "The High and the Mighty" (1954), "Cell 2455 Death Row" (1955) and "Love Me Tender" (1956) where he had the opportunity to be the first actor to sing with Elvis Presley on a Motion picture.
 
He also began receiving roles on television in such series as "Cannonball" (1958), "Combat!" (1965-1967), "Emergency!" (1972-1974) and "Adam-12" (1971-1974).  However, he never neglected working on films and some of his better known roles were in such features as "Man Without a Star" (1955) starring Kirk Douglas, "Dementia 13" (1963), and "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte" (1964) among many others.
 
He is also very well known for his guest starring role on "Star Trek" appearing in such episodes as "The Squire of Gothos" and "The Trouble With Tribbles".  His last public appearance was in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Hilton hotel in 2006 at a convention organized by Creation Entertainment.     
 
After retiring from the industry, Campbell worked as the administrator of the Motion Picture Country Home in Woodland Hills, California which was a retirement home for elderly members who were once a part of the Motion Picture Industry. 
 
Campbell married a total of three times throughout his lifetime.  First to Judith Campbell Exner from 1952 through 1958.  His second wife was Barbara Bricker from 1960 through 1961 before it was annulled.  His third time to marry was to Tereza Campbell in 1962 and they remained together until he passed away at the age of eighty seven on April 28th, 2011 in Woodland Hills, California.  He never had any children with any of his wives.
