TIM MCINTIRE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Tim McIntire was born on July 19th, 1944 in Los Angeles, California with the middle name John.  He made a career for himself in the industry as an actor, songwriter, composer and musician.

Both his parents, John McIntire and Jeanette Nolan worked in the industry and it was during high school that he first developed an interest in performing.  By the early 1960's after gaining quite a bit of experience as a stage actor he began appearing on such television series as, "Mr. Novak" (1963-1964), "Wagon Train" (1963-1965) and "Ben Casey" (1963-1965).

He also worked on films with some of his more well known roles in, "The Sterile Cuckoo" (1969), "The Gumball Rally" (1976), "The Choirboys" (1977), "American Hot Wax" (1978), "Brubaker" (1980) starring Robert Redford, "Fast-Walking" (1982) and his final film role, "Sacred Ground" (1983).

In addition to his many roles as an actor he is also known for composing the score for, "The Killer Inside Me", "Win, Place or Steal", "Kid Blue" and "Jeremiah Johnson" starring Robert Redford and Will Geer.  He also did voice over work for a variety of commercials, such as Honda.

In 1977 his band, Funzone, released their first album.  He was the lead vocalist, as well as guitar and fiddler player on the album.

Although his professional life was successful, he had some turmoil in his personal life.  He suffered from drug and alcohol addiction and sadly, at the young age of 41, Tim McIntire passed away on April 15th, 1986 in Los Angeles, California from congestive heart failure.
