TIM ALLEN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Tim Allen was born on June 13th, 1953 in Denver, Colorado with the birth name Timothy Allen Dick, born to Gerald and Martin Dick. At the age of eleven, his father was killed in a car accident and two years later, his mother, re-married her high school sweetheart.
Allen was raised in Michigan along with his nine siblings, six biological and three from his step father's previous marriage. After graduating from Seaholm High school he enrolled at Western Michigan University and graduated in 1975 with a degree in Television Production.
He then decided to embark on a comedy career after a friend dared him first appearing at the Comedy Castle in Detroit, Michigan and soon was making a number of television appearances on such shows as, "Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen" (1988) and "Tim Allen: Men Are Pigs" (1990).
Allen first really caught the attention of fans when he was cast on the television series, "Home Improvement" (1991), which ran for eight seasons. This role helped open more doors for him and soon he was also adding to his resume a number of film credits in such features as, "The Santa Clause" (1994), "For Richer or Poorer" (1997), "Jungle to Jungle" (1997), "Galaxy Quest" (1999) and doing voice over work for, "Toy Story" (1995) and "Toy Story 2" (1999).
More prominent roles soon followed such as, "Joe Somebody" (2001), "Big Trouble" (2002), "The Shaggy Dog" (2006), "Zoom" (2006), "Red Belt" (2008) and "Crazy on the Outside" (2010).
In addition to his career as an actor in 1996 he decided to develop his own line of power tools called, Ryobi. He has also received a number of honors throughout his career in he industry. For his work on, "Home Improvement", Tim Allen won a Golden Globe in 1995 for Best Actor-Television Series Musical or Comedy. Also, in 1999, Allen was named a Disney Legend for his contribution to the "Toy Story" and "Santa Clause" franchises. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contribution to the Television Industry.
He is currently married to Jane Hajduk whom he wed in 2006 and together they have one child. He was married once before to Laura Diebel from 1984 through 2003 and they also had one child together.
Most recently, Allen has appeared on the film, "Tommy" (2010) and done voice over work for the video game, "Scene It? Disney Magical Moments" (2010), the short films, "Hawaiian Vacation" (2011), "Small Fry" (2011) and soon to release, the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the next, "Toy Story 4". He also has a recurring role at Mike Baxter, on the television series, "Last Man Standing" (2011-2012) that airs on ABC.
