THURSTON HALL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Thurston Hall was born on May 10th, 1882 in Boston, Massachusetts with the birth name Ernest Thurston Hall.  He is most well known for his role portraying, Mr. Schuyler in the television series, "Topper" (1953) starring Leo G. Carroll, Lee Patrick, Anne Jeffreys and Robert Sterling. 

Hall first developed an interest in acting as a youngster and later when he was old enough, he joined a New England theater troupe and traveled performing on stage.  He alter made the trip to Britain and gained quite a bit of experience as a stage actor there.
 
Hall then created his own theater traveling company and performed in such places as South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.  Now with quite a bit of experience on his resume and quite well known in the acting arena, he ventured into working in films both in Europe as well as in the United States.
 
Some of his early roles were appearances on such silent films as, "The Earl's Adventure" (1915) with Ethel Clayton and Herbert Fortier, "The Deception" (1915) with Winifred Greenwood and Edward Coxen, "Think Mothers" (1915) also starring Charles Brandt, Mary Charleson and Bartley McCullum, "The Price Mark" (1917) starring with Dorothy Dalton, William Conklin and Adele Farrington and "Love Letters" (1917) co-starring Dorothy Dalton, William Conklin and Dorcas Matthews.

Making the transition from silent films to sound was no issue for Hall.  He would continue to work in the industry alternating between film and television roles adding over 200 credits to his resume.

Robinson, Claire Trevor, Humphrey Bogart, John Litel, Ward Bond, Max 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, Gale Page, Henry O'Neill, Allen Jenkins and Donald Crisp, "No Time to Marry" (1938) with Richard Arlen, Mary Astor and Lionel Stander, "Going Places" (1938) starring Dick Powell, Anita Louise, Ronald Reagan, Harold Huber, Walter Catlett, Ward Bond, Louis Armstrong, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, Dorothy Dandridge, Joyce Compton, Robert Warwick and Allen Jenkins, "Flight From Destiny" (1941) starring Geraldine Fitzgerald, Thomas Mitchell and Jeffrey Lynn, "Tuxedo Junction" (1941) also starring The Weaver Brothers, Leon Weaver, June Weaver and Frank Weaver, Frankie Darro, Sally Payne, Clayton Moore, William Benedict and Lorna Gray, "One Dangerous Night" (1943) with Warren William, Marguerite Chapman and Eric Blore, "Here Comes Elmer" (1943) starring Al Pearce, Dale Evans, Frank Albertson and Gloria Stuart, "West of the Pecos" (1945) starring Robert Mitchum, Barbara Hale, Richard Martin, Rita Corday, Bill Williams, Harry Woods and Russell Hopton, "Without Reservations" (1946) a comedy starring Claudette Colbert, John Wayne, Don DeFore, Dona Drake, Charles Arnt, Frank Puglia, Louella Parsons, Jack Benny and Cary Grant, "Dangerous Business" (1946) with Forrest Tucker, Lynn Merrick, Gerald Mohr, Frank Sully, Cora Witherspoon and Shemp Howard, "Federal Agent at Large" (1950) starring Dorothy Patrick, Robert Rockwell, Frank Puglia, Roy Barcroft, Estelita Rodriguez, Denver Pyle and Kent Taylor, "Night Stage to Galveston" (1952) starring Gene Autry, Pat Buttram, Robert Livingston and Clayton Moore, and his final film role, "Affair in Reno" (1957) starring John Lund, Doris Singleton and John Archer. 

Along with film work he has also appeared on the television series, " My Little Margie ", "It's a Great Life", "The Lone Ranger", "Lassie", "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin", "Dangerous Assignment", "Racket Squad", "The Abbott and Costello Show", "Circus Boy", "Hopalong Cassidy", "The Loretta Young Show", "Dick Tracy" and his final television appearance was on, "Maverick" in 1958.

Thurston Hall married only once to Quenda Hackett and never had any children.  He passed away from a sudden heart attack on February 20th, 1958 in Beverly Hills, California.  His remains are interred in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
