STEFANIE POWERS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Stefanie Powers was born on November 2nd, 1942 in Hollywood, California with the birth name Stefania Zofya Federkiewicz.  Her parents divorced when she was still young and her mother re-married.  At the age of fifteen she was offered a contract with Columbia Pictures and after graduating from Hollywood High School she continued a career in acting.
 
She took a five year hiatus after doing a couple small film roles such as, "The Young Sinner" (1965), "Experiment in Terror" (1962) and McLintock" (1963 starring alongside John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Then she returned back to the industry and set her focus on television acting.  She was cast as Jennifer Hart on, "Hart to Hart" (1979) for which she received two Emmy's and five Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Actress nominations. 
 
She had over 100 appearances on other shows as well such as, "Route 66" (1963), "Bonanza" (1963), "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E" (1966), "The Mod Squad" (1972), "Kung Fu" (1974), "The Feather and Father Gang" (1976) and "Maggie" (1986).
 
Powers also starred in such films as, "Warning Shot" (1967), "The Boatniks" (1970) and "Herbie Rides Again" (1974).  She has also appeared on stage in such productions as, "Applause!" and briefly appeared in the London musical on, "Matador" (1991) but due to the drop of tourism during the Gulf war, the production closed prematurely.  In 2002, Powers toured the United Kingdom in a production of, "The King and I".  
 
Other appearances she has made has been on, "Romance Classics" as a hostess and on a number of PBS shows were she teaches women about finance called, "Funding Your Dreams".
 
Powers has married twice throughout her lifetime.  Her first husband was Gary Lockwood whom she wed in 1966 and later divorced in 1972.  She then married Patrick De La Chenais in 1993 and this marriage too ended in divorce in 1999. 
 
Along with her career as an actress, she is also President of the William Holden Wildlife Association, an international speaker on wildlife preservation, a spokesperson for AVID Microchip Technology, Director of the Mount Kenya Game Ranch and a number of other philanthropic causes.
 
Powers was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Peace One Earth medallion for her many years of service to the USO.  Then in 2011 she received the Steiger Award in Germany for accomplishments in the arts.  She has no biological children and in 2008 she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
