STANLEY ANDREWS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Stanley Andrews was born on August 28th, 1891 in Chicago, Illinois with the birth name Stanley Andrzejewski.  He became most well known for his role portraying the voice of Daddy Warbucks on the radio show, "Little Orphan Annie".  He also later was cast doing the voice narration as "The Old Ranger"  for the television series, "Death Valley Days" which later starred Robert Taylor and Ronald Reagan.
 
He was raised in the Midwest and as he became an adult he began to develop an interest in acting.  After working on the radio he began to add numerous film credits to his resume.  Over the course of his career as an actor, Andrews would appear on the big screen more than 250 times.
 
Up until 1935, many of the films he appeared in were very minor parts and un-credited roles until, "People Will Talk" and "College Scandal" (both 1935).  Many roles thereafter were again un-credited up until 1938 when he appeared in, "The Lone Ranger", "Forbidden Valley" and "When G-Men Step In". 
 
Some of his more well known films were, "Blonde Dynamite", "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town", "Beau Geste", "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939) starring James Stewart, Jean Arthur and Claude Rains, "The Ox-Bow Incident" starring Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews, Harry Morgan and Anthony Quinn, "It's a Wonderful Life" (1947) starring James Stewart and Donna Reed, "The Lemon Drop Kid", "Superman and the Mole Men" and his final film appearance was in 1958 in, "Cry Terror!".
 
In addition to his roles in film, he also appeared on a variety of television series such as, "Fury", "Judge Roy Bean", "Tales of the Texas Rangers", "Sky King", "Topper", "Maverick", "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin", "The Real McCoys", "26 Men" and "The Roy Rogers Show".
 
He then decided to retire from the industry and pursue other interests.  On June 23rd, 1969, Stanley Andrews passed away at the age of seventy seven in Los Angeles, California.
