SCOTT CAAN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Scott Caan was born on August 23rd, 1976 in Los Angeles, California with the middle name Andrew, born to actor, James Caan and actress, Sheila Ryan.  He grew up in a divorced household where both his parents shared joint custody of him. 

In 1993 he formed a rap duo called, "The Whooliganz" and released one single, "Put Your Handz Up".  He landed a recording contract with Tommy Boy Records and even recorded al album called, "Make Way for the W", however their first single was unsuccessful and nothing ever came of his music career.   

Scott attended Beverly Hills High School and by the early 90's he decided to follow in his parents footsteps and pursue a career as an actor.  He later studied acting in Playhouse West.       

Some of his more well known film roles were in, "Last Resort" (1996), "Bongwater" (1997), "Nowhere" (1997), "Nowhere to Go" (1998) and "Varsity Blues" (1999), where he did his first nude scene.
 
Caan has also been cast in all 3 "Ocean's Eleven" films starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and a host of other great actors and added other credits such as

"Ready to Rumble" (2000), "Boiler Room" (2000), "Gone in Sixty Seconds" (2000), "Sonny" (2002), "Dallas 362" (2003), "Into the Blue" (2005), "Brooklyn Rules" (2007), "Meet Dave" (2008), "Geezers" (2012), "The Stone Pony" (2013) and the television series, "Entourage" (2009-2011) and the hit show "Hawaii Five-O" (2010-2012) for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.  

In addition to his career as an actor he has directed such films as, "Dallas 362" (2003) and "The Dog Problem" (2006) and enjoys photography in his spare time, publishing his photographs in a book.
 
When not acting, Scott Caan is involved with the organization, Surfers Healing, which works with children suffering from autism and shares with them the joy of surfing.
