SCARLETT JOHANSSON BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22nd, 1984 in New York City, New York with the birth name Scarlett Ingrid Johansson, born to parents, Melanie Sloan and Karsten Johansson.  As a young girl, she was already interested in acting and would perform in a number of school plays.   

As a child she went to school at Greenwich Village elementary and in 2002 she graduated from the Professional Children's School in Manhattan.     

Her career as an actress began at the age of nine in 1994 when she starred in the film, "North".  Soon, Johansson was appearing in such films as, "Just Cause" (1995), "If Lucy Fell" (1996), "Home Alone 3" (1997), "The Horse Whisperer" (1998), "Ghost World" (2001), "Lost in Translation" (2003) and "Girl with a Pearl Earring" (2003) for which she received a Golden Globe nominations for both films.  For her role in, "Girl with a Pearl Earring" she was also received a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
 
Along with her film roles she also did some voice over work for the film, "The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie" (2004).  As her career progressed she  was seen in, "A Love Song for Bobby Long" (2004), "The Island" (2005) and "Match Point" (2005), again receiving two more Golden Globe nominations.  More successful film roles followed such as, "Scoop" (2006), "The Prestige" (2006), "The Nanny Diaries" (2007), "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" (2008), "He's Just not That into You" (2009) and "Iron Man 2" (2010) directed by Jon Favreau.
 
Also with already having a highly successful film career, Johansson also performed as a stage actress in such productions as, "Sophistry" and  "A View From the Bridge" (2010) for which she earned a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.   
 
Not only was her popularity increasing as an actress but she also showed her fans that she had a talent for singing, recording two albums, "Anywhere, I Lay My Head" and "Break Up".  Scarlett also made an appearance in Justin Timberlake's music video, "What Goes Around…Comes Around" in 2007.
 
Johansson has also appeared in a number of commercials for various products such as, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.
 
Some of her latest roles have been in, "We Bought a Zoo" (2011) and soon to release, "Under the Skin" (2012) and "Iron Man 3" (2013).  She is seen by her fans as one of the sexiest women in the world.  She has appeared in 2006 on the front cover of Vanity Fair magazine nude and in 2007, Playboy named her, 'Sexiest Celebrity".  
 
Johansson was married only once to Ryan Reynolds whom she wed in 2008 and then divorced in 2011.  She is very involved in a number of charitable causes such as being a Global Ambassador for the aid and development agency called, Oxfam.  She continues to work in the industry today and has yet to re marry or have any children of her own.
