ROSSANO BRAZZI BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Rossano Brazzi was born on September 18th, 1916 in Bologna, Italy and became a well known Italian stage and film actor. His parents were Adelmo and Maria Ghedini Brazzi and he had two siblings, Oscar and Franca.
Originally, when he finished high school he went on to earn a law degree from San Marco University in Florence, Italy, and then went to work in Rome where he was approached by a theatrical company advising him to look into pursuing a career as an actor.
Brazzi first began to earn a name for himself in the industry when he appeared in the film, "Damals" (1943). Soon other film roles followed such as, "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954), "Summertime" (1955), "The Barefoot Contessa" (1954), "The Story of Esther Costello" (1957), "Legend of the Lost" (1957) co-starring John Wayne and Sophia Loren, "South Pacific" (1958), "Count Your Blessings" (1959), "The Light in the Piazza" (1962) and "The Italian Job" (1969).
Along with making a name for himself as a film actor, he also appeared on numerous television series throughout his career such as, "The Dupont Show with June Allyson", "Melissa", "W Somerset Maugham", "The Survivors", "Coralba", "Hawaii Five-O", "Police Woman", "Orient Express", "The Love Boat", "Hart to Hart", "A Fine Romance" and his most recent appearances were in the television series, "Ruth Rendell Mysteries" (1990), the television movie, "Mort d'un zombie" (1993) and his final film role, "Fatal frames: Fotogrammi mortali" (1996).
Rossano Brazzi married twice throughout his lifetime, first to Lydia Brazzi in 1940 and they stayed together until she passed away in 1981. He then married Ilse Fischer in 1984 and they were together until he passed away on December 24th, 1994 in Rome, Italy after suffering from neural virus.
