RICHARD WEBB BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Richard Webb was born on September 9th, 1915 in Bloomington, Illinois with the birth name John Richard Webb. He became most well known for his role on the television series, “Captain Midnight” (1954).
Throughout his career, Web appeared in more than fifty films, many which were Westerns. Some of his early film roles were in, “Out of the Past” (1947), “Night Has a Thousand Eyes” (1948), “I Was a Communist for the FBI” (1951) and “Carson city” (1952).
As his career progressed he was seen in a number of television episodes such as, “Cold War, “Behind Closed Doors” (1958), “Stories of the Century” (1954), “Border Patrol” (1959) and “Star Trek: The Original Series-Court Martial”.
Webb was married twice throughout his lifetime, first to Elizabeth Sterns in 1942 and after having two children this marriage ended in divorce. He then married Florence Webb in 1993 and they also had two children and remained together until he passed away on June 10th, 1993 in Van Nuys, California after committing suicide since he had been suffering from a long-tern debilitating respiratory illness.
