PATRICIA MEDINA BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Patricia Medina was born on July 19th, 1919 in Liverpool, England. During her teenage years she began her involvement in the acting industry appearing in such films as, "Dinner at the Ritz" (1937), "Mr. Satan" (1938) and "Double or Quits" (1938).

She then began to catch the attention of more film directors and work her way into a number of starring roles on such film as, "The Avengers" (1942) and "Hotel Reserve" (1944). Medina then decided to relocate to Los Angeles, California in the mid 1940's in search of more prominent film roles.

Soon she began to add to her film credits, "The Lady and the Bandit" (1951), "Lady in the Iron Mask" (1952), "Captain Pirate" (1952), "The Black Night" (1954) and "Stranger at My Door" (1956).

With film roles becoming less available to Medina, she began to focus more towards television making appearances on such series as, "Zorro" (1957), "Have Gun - Will Travel" (1957), "Bonanza" (1959), "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" (1962), "Perry Mason" (1957) and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (1964).

In addition to her career as a television and film actress, she also made her Broadway debut in 1962 in a production called, "Calculated Risks". She also published an autobiography in 1998 titled, "Laid Back in Hollywood; Remembering".

Her final film roles were on the television series, "The Name of the Game" (1970), "To Rome with Love" (1970), "Mannix" (1971) and two additional films were added at the end of her career, "Timber Tramps" (1975) and "El llanto de los pobres" (1978). Medina then retired from acting and lived with her second husband, Joseph Cotton whom she married in 1960 and remained with until he passed away in 1994. She had married once before to Richard Greene from 1941 through 1951.

Patricia Medina then passed away at the age of ninety two from natural causes on April 28th, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Her remains are interred at Blandford Cemetery in Petersberg, Virginia beside her second husband, Cotton.
