NED BEATTY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Ned Beatty was born on July 6th, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky with the middle name Thomas, born to Margaret Fortney and Charles William Beatty. As a young boy he would sing in the local choir at church and after high school he was offered a scholarship to sing in the cappella choir at Transylvania university in Kentucky.
Prior to earning a college degree he left school to focus on a full time career in entertainment. He began with working as a stage actor appearing in such productions as, "Wilderness Road", "Death of a Salesman", "The Great White Hope" and "The Accidental Death of an Anarchist".

Ned never neglected his first love of live theater and has added alter in his career such theatrical credits as, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (2001).
More recently he has graced the screen with roles in, "Where the Red Farm Grows" (2003), "The Walker" (2007), "Shooter" (2007) "In the Electric Mist" (2009), "The Killer Inside me" (2010) and "Teddy Bears" which is set to release in 2013. Ned Beatty has married four times, first to Walta Abbott in 1959 and they had four children before they divorced in 1968. He then married his second wife, Belinda Beatty in 1971 and together they had two children before the marriage came to an end in 1979. His third time to wed was in 1979 to Dorothy Tinker Lindsey and they also had two children before another failed marriage ended in 1998.
