MITCH RYAN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Mitch Ryan was born on January 11th, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky.  His interesting in acting came when he joined the United States Navy in 1951 and was assigned to the Special Services Entertainment Unit where he developed an interest in performing.
 
When he completed his military service he began finding work as a stage actor and soon broke into television acting appearing on such series as, "Naked City" (1961-1963), "The Defenders" (1961-1965) and "Dark Shadows" (1966), which in 1967 he was fired from due to a drinking problem during that time of his life. 
 
Along with his television role he also began to add a number of film credits to his resume such as, "Monte Walsh" (1970), "Magnum Force" (1973) starring Clint Eastwood, "High Plains Drifter" (1973) starring Clint Eastwood, "Midway" (1976) starring Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Glenn Ford, Hal Holbrook, Eddie Albert, Glenn Corbett, Kevin Dobson, Toshiro Mifune, Robert Mitchum, Cliff Robertson, Robert Wagner, James Shigeta, Pat Morita, Ed Nelson, Tom Selleck, Robert Ito and Christina Kokubo among others, and another well known role in the film, "Lethal Weapon" (1987) starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson, portraying a villain.
 
Other early on television roles included, "Chase", "The Chisholms", "North and South", "The Streets of San Francisco", "The A-Team", "Cannon" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
 
As his career has progressed he has alternated between film and television with more recent appearances on the television series, "Murder, She Wrote", "Renegade", "General Hospital", "Dharma & Greg" and the films, "Liar Liar" (1997), "The Devil's Own" (1997), "Love for Rent" (2005) and "Strike Out" (2009).  
 
Although he has married twice, his first marriage was very brief, he then wed Lynda Morse in 1972 however this marriage also came to an end.  He has fathered three children.
