MIKE CONNORS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Mike Connors was born on August 15th, 1925 in Fresno, California with the birth name Krekor Ohanian.  During high school he was very athletic and excelled at basketball.  After high school, he joined the United States Army and served during World War II. 
 
When he was discharged, Connors enrolled at the University of California at Los Angeles after receiving a basketball scholarship.  It was a gentleman by the name of William Wellman, a film director, who first took notice of Connors and felt he would excel as an actor.
 
As he began to work in the industry, Connors was seen on the big screen in such films as, "Island in the Sky" (1953) starring John Wayne, "Swamp Women" (1955) and "Flesh and the Spur" (1957).  Along with appearing in films, he also began making a number of television appearances in such series as, "Frontier", "Hey, Jeannie!", "City Detective", "State Trooper", "Maverick", "The Silent Service", "One Step Beyond" and his most well known role in, "Mannix" (1967-1975).  
 
The majority of character roles he took on were portraying military or police roles.  He was selected to play, Air Force Colonel Harrison Peters in the miniseries, "War and Remembrance" (1988). 
 
Connors has married only once to Mary Lou Willey in 1949 and they have two children together and remain married today.  He resides in Encino, California and his most recent appearance to date was on an episode of, "Two & a Half Men" in 2007.
