MICHAEL J. POLLARD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Michael J. Pollard was born on May 30th, 1939 in Passaic, New Jersey with the birth name Michael John Pollack Jr. born to Sonia and Michael John Pollack. He received his education at Montclair Academy and later at the Actors Studio.
His career as an actor began working on television appearing on such series as, "The Dupont Show of the Month", "Lux Playhouse", "Five Fingers" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" (all 1959).
Along with working on television he also did a number of stage performances such as in the play, "Bye Bye Birdie". As his career progressed he added a number of other television credits to his resume such as, "The Andy Griffith Show", "Route 66", "Going My Way", "The Lucy Show", "Gunsmoke", "Lost in Space", "Mr. Novak", "Honey West", "I Spy", "Cimarron Strip", "The Fall Guy" and "Leo and Liz in Beverly Hills".
Pollard has also graced the big screen in such feature films as, "Summer Magic" (1963), "Caprice" (1967), "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967) starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, "Hannibal Brooks" (1969), "Between the Lines" (1977), "The American Way" (1986), "Roxanne" (1987), "Night Visitor" (1989), "Tango and Cash" (1989) and "Dark Angel" (1990).
Michael J. Pollard married in 1961 to Beth Howland and they had one child before the marriage ended in divorce. He has not re-married again and remains working in the industry with more recent roles being on the television series, "Jack and Jill", "Becker" and the films "Forever Lulu" (2000), "House of 1000 Corpses" (2003), "Sunburnt Angels" (2011) and soon to release, "The Woods" and "The Next Cassavetes" (2012).
