MICHAEL ANDERSON JR. BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Michael Anderson Jr. was born on August 6th, 1943 in Hillingdon, Middlesex in England.  His family was very involved in theater and so he grew up quite exposed to the industry from a young age.  Not only was his father, Michael Anderson Sr. a film director, but his grandparents and great grandparents had also worked as actors.  His brother, David Anderson also pursued a career in the industry becoming a well known producer.
 
After high school, Anderson studied acting and ballet at the Arts Educations School.  When he earned his degree he went right in to pursuing a career as an actor.  Due to his family connections it was not too difficult for him to break into the industry.
 
Over the course of his career, he added over sixty film roles some of which included, "The Sundowners" (1960) starring Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr, "The Sons of Katie Elder" (1965) starring John Wayne and Dean Martin, "Major Dundee" (1965) starring Charlton Heston and Richard Harrison, "The Last Movie" (1971) and "Logan's Run" (1976).
 
His resume mainly consisted of roles in a variety of television movies and television series such as, "The House that Would not Die" (1970), "In Search of America" (1971), "Kiss Me, Kill Me" (1976) and the series, "The Monroes", "Love, American Style", "Murder, She Wrote", "Magnum P.I", "Hawaii Five-O" and "Fantasy Island" among many others.
 
Some of his latest roles have been in the television movies, "Rent-a-Kid" (1995), "Elvis Meets Nixon" (1997), "Rescuers: Stories of Courage: Two Families" (1998) and his final big screen appearance was in 1999 in, "Terminal Rush.
 
Throughout his lifetime he has married a total of three times.  With his first wife, Maria O'Brien they had one child before the marriage ended in divorce.  He then married, Vikki Harrington in 1966 and they had three children together before this marriage also came to an end.  His third wife was Marina Anderson whom he wed in 1986 and divorced later in 1990. 
 
He has not re-married again and is currently retired from the industry.
