MEREDITH MACRAE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Meredith MacRae was born on May 30th, 1944 on a military base in Houston, Texas with the birth name Meredith Lynn MacRae, the oldest of four children. Her father, Gordon MacRae was a singer and movie idol in the late 1950's so she grew up around show business and developed an interest at an early age. Her mother, Sheila was also an actress and a comedienne.
At the age of eight, Meredith was already beginning her career when she appeared in the film, "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" (1953).
After completing high school, she enrolled at UCLA and earned a degree in English. She continued to pursue her career as an actress appearing on television in such sitcoms as, "Petticoat Junction" (1963) and "My Three Sons" (1960).
Along with working as a television actress she also had a number of film roles such as, "Beach Party" (1963), "Bikini Beach" (1964), "Norwood" (1970), "Grand Jury" (1776) and "The Census Taker" (1984).
MacRae also appeared on a number of television series as well throughout her career such as, "Fantasy Island" (1977), "Webster" (1983), "Magnum P.I." (1980), "The Rockford Files" (1974) and "CHIPS" (1980).
She could also be seen on numerous game shows such as, "I've Got a Secret", "Hollywood Squares", "Break the Bank", "Beat the Clock" and "Family Feud".
In the year 2000, she was sadly diagnosed with brain cancer and was unable to handle the surgeries and medications which caused her to lose her life way too early on July 14th, 2000 in Manhattan Beach, California.
Throughout her lifetime, she was married three times. Her first husband was Richard Berger from 1965 through 1967. She then married actor, Greg Mullavey in 1969 and they had one child together before they divorced in 1987. Her third husband was Phil Neal whom she married in 1995 and they remained together until she passed away. Her body was cremated and her ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.
She was also a very charitable lady working to raise funds for various causes such as, the children's Burn Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the united Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
