LINDA HAMILTON BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Linda Hamilton was born on September 26th, 1956 in Salisbury, Maryland with the birth name Linda Carroll Hamilton. After earning her high school diploma she went on to enroll at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and studied for two years before she decided to relocate to New York and pursue her education studying acting.

Hamilton studied with Lee Strasberg and soon began finding work as an actress appearing on the film, "Night-Flowers" (1979) and the television series, "Shirley" (1980). She began to catch the attention of Hollywood when she was cast in the film, "Terminator" (1984) followed by a role she is most well known for portraying, Catherine Chandler on the television series, "Beauty and the Beast" (1987).

Other roles she soon added were in the films, "Black Moon Rising" (1986), "King Kong Lives" (1986), "Mr. Destiny" (1990), "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991), "Dante's Peak" (1997), "The Secret Life of Girls" (1999), "Missing in America" (2005), "Broken" (2006) and "Hard Times" (2009).

Along with film work, Hamilton has appeared on such television series as, "Secrets of Midland Heights", "King's Crossing", "Hill Street Blues", "Murder, She Wrote", "Frasier", "Hercules", "According to Jim" and most recently on the series, "Chuck" and "Air Force One is Down".

Linda Hamilton has married twice, first to Bruce Abbott in 1982 and they had one child together before the marriage ended in divorce in 1989. She then married James Cameron in 1997 and they also had one child together before this marriage also came to an end in 1999. Her divorce was the second most expensive divorce in Hollywood history where she received close to $50 million.
