LINDA CRISTAL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Linda Cristal was born on February 23rd, 1934 in Buenos Aires, Argentina with the birth name Marta Victoria Moya Burges.  As a young child her parents immigrated to Uruguay after her father who was a publisher became involved in a political dispute.  When she was only 13 years old her parents were killed in a road accident.
 
In 1950 she was discovered by a Mexican producer and director, Miguelito Aleman and begins working in the film industry.  Some of her earlier film work were roles in, "Comanche" (1956) and "The Perfect Furlough" (1958).  She then returned to Mexico to film, "Simon Boliver" (1960) and continued to travel back and forth between the United States and overseas to work in the industry.
 
She is most well known for her performance in "The High Chaparral" (1967) television series and some of her later work in, "Mr. Majestyk" (1964). In 1985 she went back to Argentina to star in a soap opera called, "Rossé" and then remained in her native country.  
 
Linda Cristal married a total of three times and her first marriage was annulled.  Her second time to marry was to Robert E. Champion in 1958 and they were also only together one year.  She then married Yale Wexler in 1960 and they had two children together before divorcing in 1966.
 
In 1985 Cristal retired from the industry completely.
