LESLIE PARRISH BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Leslie Parrish was born on March 13th, 1935 in Melrose, Massachusetts with the birth name Marjorie Hellen. After high school she enrolled at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music and excelled as a piano player hoping to pursue a career as a concert pianist, however she soon realized that she could earn a better living working as a model.
Her career in entertainment began when she moved to New York in 1953 and found work as a model and she later transitioned into acting. In 1954, she signed with 20th Century Fox at the age of nineteen.
Over the course of her career she would add over 100 credits to her resume, mostly on television with appearances on such series as, "77 Sunset Strip", "Perry Mason", "Surfside 6", "Hawaiian Eye", "The Red Skelton Hour", "Bat Masterson", "The Wild Wild West", "My Three Sons", "Mannix", "Love, American Style" and "Petticoat Junction".
In 1956 she signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and some of her more well known film roles included, "Li'l Abner" (1959) co-starring Peter Palmer, Stubby Kaye, Stella Stevens, Howard St. John, Julie Newmar and Robert Strauss, "The Manchurian Candidate" (1962) starring Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh and Angela Lansbury, Henry Silva, James Gregory and John McGiver, "Sex and the Single Girl" (1964) starring alongside starring Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Henry Fonda, Lauren Bacall and Mel Ferrer, "Three on a Couch" (1966) also starring Jerry Lewis, Janet Leigh, Mary Ann Mobley, James Best and Kathleen Freeman, "The Money Jungle" (1968) starring John Ericson and Lola Albright, "The Candy Man" (1969) starring with George Sanders and Manolo Fabregas, "The Devil's 8" (1969) starring Christopher George, Fabian Forte and Ralph Meeker, "Brother, Cry For Me" (1970) co-starring Larry Pennell and Richard Davalos and "The Giant Spider Invasion" (1975) starring Steve Brodie, Barbara Hale and Alan Hale Jr.
Leslie Parrish has married twice, first to Eric Marlow in 1955 however by 1961 this marriage came to an end. She then married Richard D. Bach in 1977 but again by 1997 another marriage ended in divorce.
Her most recent appearances include the television series, "Logan's Run" and "Police Story" from 1974 through 1978. She has since retired from the industry and has not re-married, nor does she have any biological children.
