Kevin Spacey ACTOR

Kevin Spacey was born in South Orange, New Jersey on July 26th, 1959 with the birth name Kevin Spacey fowler to parents Kathleen Ann and Thomas Fowler.  He had an older sister and an older brother and was raised in California and earned his high school diploma from Chatsworth High where he was valedictorian of his class.
While in high school, Spacey became involved in acting, performing in a number of the school productions.  After high school he pursued a career as a stand up comedian, however after being unsuccessful, Spacey decided to relocate to New York City and study at the school of Julliard and studied drama between 1979 and 1981.
Spacey soon began to gain some experience as a stage actor in both on Broadway and off Broadway productions such as, "Henry VI", "Ghosts", "The Misanthrope", "Hurlyburly", "The Seagull" and "Sleuth.
Kevin was soon also receiving small roles on television and soon was given the chance for a more prominent role ion an episode of, "Crime Story" (1987).  Although he was now also working as a television actor, Spacey continued to take on theatrical stage roles and in 1991 he won a Tony Award for his role in a production of, "Lost in Yonkers".
As his career progressed Spacey was seen on television, film and stage in such television shows as, "L.A. Law" and "Wiseguy".  He also appeared on the television movie, "The Murder of Mary Phagan" (1988).
Some of his early film roles were, "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" (1989), "The Ref" (1994), "Glengarry Glen Ross" (1992) and "The Usual Suspects" (1995) which earned him his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
As his career continued he would be seen on the big screen with such actors as Brad Putt and Morgan Freeman in the film, "Seven" (1995) and then in 1999 he won a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in the film, "American Beauty".  Along with working as a film, television and stage actor, in 1997 he started his own production company, Trigger Street Productions.  His film debut, "Albino Alligator" (1996) sadly was a box office failure.
His professional acting career was at an all time high, doing voice over work for the animated film, "A Bug's Life" and continuing to appear on the big screen in such features as, "Pay It Forward" (2000), "K-Pax" (2001), "Beyond the Sea" (2004) and "Superman Returns" (2006).
In 2003, Spacey decided to take on the position of being the artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre and also serves on the Board of Director of the Motion Picture and Television Fund.  He has also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Kevin continues to make numerous stage appearances in London while working at the Old Vic Theatre and as of 2006 he made a promise that he would stay on board at least another nine years.
Kevin Spacey has never married nor does he have any children.  He vows to keep his personal life private from the public.  Although it has been speculated that he might be homosexual, he claims that is untrue and prefers not to discus anything about his personal life with the media.
