KAY ALDRIDGE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Kay Aldridge was born on July 9th, 1917 in Tallahassee, Florida with the birth name Katharine Gratten Aldridge. She began her career as a model and become one of the top fashion models of the 1930's. She was absolutely beautiful and often was seen on the cover of magazines. Soon she was being cast in films due to her extraordinary beauty and nothing to do with any acting talent she possessed.
Her film debut was in "Vogues of 1938" (1937) followed by a number of small supporting roles in a variety of films. When Republic studios took her on she was offered a couple leading lady roles in serials such as "The Perils of Nyoka" (1942) and "Haunted Harbor" (1944). She is best known for playing feisty and frequently-imperiled heroines in black and white serials during the 1940's.
She married a total of 3 times, first to Arthur Cameron in 1945 and they had four children together before ending the marriage in 1954. Her second marriage was to Richard Derby Tucker in 1956 and they stayed together until he passed away in 1979. She then married for a third time from 1982 but her third husband, who's name is unknown also passed away the same year she got married to him. On January 12th, 1995 she passed away in Rockport, Maine from a heart attack.
