JOSH BROLIN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Josh Brolin was born February 12th, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Jane Cameron Agee and famous actor, James Brolin so therefore being born into a family already involved in entertainment played a significant part in his future career as an actor.
Originally, he wanted nothing to do with the entertainment industry after seeing his father and step mother, Barbra Streisand go through a lot with what comes along with stardom. However, during school, he participated in a school play and realized how much he enjoyed being on the stage.
He first began appearing on screen in, "The Goonies" (1985) and then had some television roles in such series as, "Highway to Heaven" (1986), "21 Jump Street" (1987), "Private Eye" (1987) and "The Young Riders" (1989).
Now with some decent experience on his resume he returned to film work appearing on the big screen in such features as, "The Road Killers" (1994), "Bed of Roses" (1996), "Nightwatch" (1997), "My Brother's War" (1997) and "The Mod Squad" (1999).
Sadly, he was not being cast in roles that really proved that he had a talent for acting, however he remained working in the industry appearing in the films, "Grindhouse" (2007), "American Gangster" (2007), "In the Valley of Elah" (2007) and finally a decent break came for his career when he was cast in the film, "No Country for Old Men" (2007), a film that won four Oscars.
Finally, Brolin was being offered roles in more prominent and successful films such as, "Milk" (2008), "W" (2008), "Women in Trouble" (2009), "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" (2010) starring Michael Douglas, "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" (2010), "True Grit" (2010) starring Jeff Bridges and some of his newest film roles soon to release, "Men in Black III" (2012) costarring Will Smith, "The Gangster Squad" (2012), "Labor Day" (2013) and "Oldboy" release date still unknown.
Along with his work as an actor he has also been an executive producer for the documentary, "The People Speak" and is also involved in stock trading as well as being a co-founder of the website, MarketProbability.com. He has also written and directed the film, "X" (2010).
Josh has married twice throughout his lifetime, first to Alice Adair in 1988 and after having two children this marriage came to an end in 1992. He then married his current wife, Diane Lane in 2004 and they reside on a ranch in California with his two children Eden and Trevor from his first marriage.
