JILL HAWORTH BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Jill Haworth was born on August 15th, 1945 in Sussex, England with the birth name Valerie Jill Haworth. Her childhood was difficult and her parents divorced when she was young. She took up ballet dancing from a young age and realized her love for performing.
She began her career as an actress appearing on such films as, "The 39 Steps" (1959), "The Brides of Dracula" (1960) and soon she was being signed to a contract by Otto Preminger and was cast in the films, "Exodus" (1960) starring Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Ralph Richardson, Peter Lawford, Lee J. Cobb, John Derek and Sal Mineo, "The Cardinal" (1963) also starring Tom Tryon, Romy Schneider, Carol Lynley and John Huston and "In Harm's Way" (1965) starring alongside John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Patricia Neal, Tom Tryon, Paula Prentiss, Stanley Holloway, Burgess Meredith, Brandon de Wilde, Dana Andrews and Henry Fonda and "The Ballad of Andy Crocker" (169) starring Lee Majors, Joey Heatherton and Pat Hingle.
Along with her film work she appeared on the television series, "12 O'Clock High" four different times as well as on an episode of, "The Rogues", "Burke's Law" and "Rawhide". She was also cast in the television movie, "Home for the Holidays" (1972).
She then began to also work as a stage actress appearing in such Broadway productions as, "Cabaret" (1966) and other stage credits included, "Bedroom Farce" and "Butterflies Are Free".
Jill Haworthnever married nor did she have any biological children, although she did get pregnant once and underwent an abortion. She passed away at the age of sixty five from natural causes on January 3rd, 2011 in New York City, New York. Her remains are buried at Kensico Cemetery.
