JASON BATEMAN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Jason Bateman was born on January 14th, 1969 in Rye, New York with the middle name Kent. Bateman is most well known for his role on the television sitcom, "Arrested Development" (2003) portraying Michael Bluth.
His father is Kent Bateman, a film and television director as well as the founder of the Hollywood Repertory Stage company. He began his acting career as a child actor debuting on the television show, "Little House on the Prairie" (1974) starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, at the age of twelve. By the age of eighteen he was even given the chance to be the youngest director when he directed three episodes of the television series, "Valerie" (1986) starring Valerie Harper.
He never graduated from high school, but instead chose to focus full time as a actor. Since then he has made quite a name for himself in the industry appearing in over seventy television and films. He even won a Golden Globe Award for his role on, "Arrested Development" starring alongsidie Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Charlize Theron, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Scott Baio, Henry Winkler, Steve Ryan, Liza Minnelli and Carl Weathers just to name a few, along with a TV Land Award and two satellite Awards.
Other more well known film roles include, "Teen Wolf Too" (1987) also starring James Hampton, John Astin and Kim Darby, "Breaking the Rules" (1992) co-starring with C. Along with his acting career he also owns a production company called, F+A Productions. He has married only once in 2001 to Amanda Anka and they have two daughter's together and reside in Los Angeles, California.
