JASON BATEMAN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Jason Bateman was born on  January 14th, 1969 in Rye, New York with the middle name Kent.  Bateman is most well known for his role on the television sitcom, "Arrested Development" (2003) portraying Michael Bluth.

His father is Kent Bateman, a film and television director as well as the founder of the Hollywood Repertory Stage company.  He began his acting career as a child actor debuting on the television show, "Little House on the Prairie" (1974) starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, at the age of twelve.  By the age of eighteen he was even given the chance to be the youngest director when he directed three episodes of the television series, "Valerie" (1986) starring Valerie Harper.

He never graduated from high school, but instead chose to focus full time as a actor.  Since then he has made quite a name for himself in the industry appearing in over seventy television and films.  He even won a Golden Globe Award for his role on, "Arrested Development" starring alongsidie Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Charlize Theron, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Scott Baio, Henry Winkler, Steve Ryan, Liza Minnelli and Carl Weathers just to name a few, along with a TV Land Award and two satellite Awards.

Other more well known film roles include, "Teen Wolf Too" (1987) also starring James Hampton, John Astin and Kim Darby, "Breaking the Rules" (1992) co-starring with C. Thomas Howell, Jonathan Silverman and Annie Potts, "This Can't Be Love" (1994) starring Katharine Hepburn and Anthony Quinn, "Love Stinks" (1999) also starring French Stewart, Bridgette Wilson, Bill Bellamy, Steve Hytner, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Tyra Banks, "The Sweetest Thing" (2002) starring Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair, "Starsky & Hutch" (2004) starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Snoop Dogg and Vince Vaughn, "The Break-Up (2006) starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, "The Kingdom" (2007), "Hancock" (2008) co-starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron, "Extract" (2009) co-starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, Dustin Milligan, J. K. Simmons and Ben Affleck, "Up in the Air" (2009) starring George Clooney, Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick and Sam Elliott, "The Switch" (2010) starring with Jennifer Aniston, Jeff Goldblum, Thomas Robinson, Patrick Wilson and Juliette Lewis, "Paul" (2011) starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver and Blythe Danner and and "Horrible Bosses" (2011) also starring Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx.   

In addition to his many successful film roles he has also added numerous television appearances to his resume over tine such as, "Silver Spoons" starring Ricky Schroder, Joel Higgens, Erin Gray and Franklin Seales, "Nightrider" starring David Hasselhoff, "Mr. Belevedere", "It's Your Move" co-starring Tricia Cast, Caren Kaye, Ernie Sabella, David Garrison and Garrett Morris, "Our House", "Burke's Law', "Simon", "Rude Awakening", "Twilight Zone", "Some of My Best Friends", "Justice League" and "Sit Down, Shut Up".

Along with his acting career he also owns a production company called, F+A Productions.  He has married only once in 2001 to Amanda Anka and they have two daughter's together and reside in Los Angeles, California.
