HALLE BERRY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Halle Berry was born on August 14th, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio with the middle name Maria. Her parents were, Judith berry who was Caucasian and was a retired nurse and her father was Jerome Berry who was also retired from working as a hospital attendant.
Berry graduated from Bedford High School and then found work at a department store. She also went on to further her education at Cuyahoga Community College and also in 1985 at the age of seventeen, Halle entered the Miss Teen All-American Pageant and a year later she was the first runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant. It was these contests that intrigued her interest in modeling and so began a career as a model.
Halle was soon being offered work as an actress beginning with her first television role, "Living Dolls" (1989) followed by a recurring role on the television series, "Knot's Landing" (1992). Soon she was working in the film industry as well on such features as, "Jungle Fever" (1991), "Boomerang" (1992), "The Flintstones" (1994), "Losing Isaiah" (1995), "Bulworth" (1998) and "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" (1999). For this role, Halle won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Movie/Mini Series.
Halle had well reached her way to the top becoming a sought out actress and earning a huge fan base. Her success continued with roles on, "X-Men" (2000), "Gothica" (2003) with co star Robert Downey Jr., "X-Men: The Last Stand" (2006), "Perfect Stranger" (2007), "Frankie & Alice" (2010) and her latest appearances on, "Dark Tide" (2011) and soon to release, "Cloud Atlas" (2012).
Along with her amazing resume, she is also involved in the production of films and television. Halle has served as executive producer on, "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" and "Lackawanna Blues" (2005).
Berry is also the face of Revlon cosmetics as well as Versace. She also was signed to advertise for the fragrance company, The Coty Inc.
She has become one of the highest paid female actresses in Hollywood and earns about $10 million per film. She has also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contribution to the Motion Picture Industry.
She has married twice throughout her lifetime. Her first husband was Major League Baseball player David Justice whom she married in 1992 and were together till 1997. Her second husband was Eric Benet from 2001 through 2005. During this marriage she adopted a little girl, India. Recently she was dating Gabriel Aubry, a model and had her second daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry on March 16, 2008, however the couple have now separated and will share custody of their daughter. Halle was supposed to work on the film, "New Years Eve" (2011), however due to personal issues with her separation, she has pulled out of the project to focus on her family issues.
