GLORIA TALBOTT BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Gloria Talbott as born on February 7th, 1931 in Glendale, California to parents, Charles F. and Dorothy Talbott, Patterson. Her grandfather co founded Glendale, California. Being brought up in Los Angeles, she was highly exposed to Hollywood and the lifestyle, and therefore gained an interest in acting at a young age. She also had a sister, Lori Talbott who also became an actress.
She participated in school productions and was even able to get a small part in the film, "Maytime" (1937). A child actor she also appeared in the films, "Sweet and Lowdown" (1943) and "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" (1945). She also entered the Miss. Glendale beauty contest which she won in 1947. Gloria's first big professional break was in a Los Angeles stage production of "One Fine Day".
As her career entered into the 1950's she continued to work on a regular basis appearing in such films as, "Crashout" (1955), "We're No Angels" (1955) and "All That Heaven Allows" (1955). She was also cast in a number of horror films and became nicknamed, "The Screma Queen" for her roles in, "Daughter of Dr. Jekyll" (1957), "The Cyclops" (1957) and "I Married a Monster from Outer Space" (1958).
Along with a successful film career, Talbott also worked in television appearing on, "The Cisco Kid", "Frontier", "Sheriff of Cochise", "Gray Ghost" and "Whispering Smith". She was also seen in the recurring role of Abbie Crandall on the 1950's TV western, "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp". She was signed by Walt Disney in 1958 to work on several episodes of ABC's, "Zorro".
She retired from acting in 1966 to spend more time with her family, emerging publicly only to appear at various science-fiction conventions around the country.
Throughout her lifetime she was married a total of four times. Her first marriage was from 1948-1953 to an actor, Parish whom she met before she was even eighteen years old. They met when she was working on stage at the Eagle Rock Theatre and together, they had one child. Marriage number two was to Grover Sandy Sanders from June 27th, 1956-1965 and again had another child. Her third marriage was to Dr. Steven J. Capabianco from January 18th, 1967 and again this marriage ended in divorce in March of 1969. She did have a third child out of this marriage.
Mullally who was a figure skater in local ice skating competitions. Her fourth and final marriage was to Dr. Patrick Mullally on April 27th, 1970 and they remained together for twenty years until she passed away.
Gloria Talbott passed away on September 19th, 2000 in Glendale, California from kidney failure and pneumonia at the age of sixty nine. Gloria Talbott is interred in the Mausoleum, Block 112, Wall Crypt B7 in San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, Los Angeles county, California.
