FRANK PUGLIA BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Frank Puglia was born on March 9th, 1892 in Sicily, Italy.  his career in entertainment began when he was only fifteen years old.  He joined a traveling operetta company and later relocated to New York city where he joined a language theatre group.

Soon he began working as a stage actor and while performing on stage in a production of, "The Two Orphans", D.W. Griffith spotted him and brought him into the film industry and his career then began with "Orphans of the Storm" (1921).  Over the course of his career he would add over one hundred and fifty films to his resume.

Some of his more well known roles included, "Casablanca" (1942) starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Sydney Greenstreet and Paul Henreid, "The Jungle Book" (1942), "This is the Life" (1944) starring Donald O'Connor, Peggy Ryan, Patric Knowles and Eddie Quillan, "Without Reservations" (1946) starring Claudette Colbert, John Wayne and Don DeFore, "Fiesta" (1947) starring Esther Williams, Ricardo Montalban, Mary Astor and Cyd Charisse and "The Desert Hawk" (1950) starring Yvonne De Carlo, Richard Greene, Jackie Gleason and Rock Hudson. 

Along with film he added a variety of television series credits to his resume such as, "Waterfront", "The Lone Wolf", "Whirlybirds", "The Loretta Young Show", "You Are There", "Frontier", "Racket Squad", "Father Knows Best", "Broken Arrow", "Playhouse 90", "Ironside", "Mannix", "That Girl", "To Rome With Love" and "Columbo".  His last film role was in 1975 on, "Mr. Ricco" playing Uncle Enzo.

He married only once to Irene Veneroni and they remained together until she passed away in 1973.  He passed away just two years later on October 25th, 1975 at the age of eighty five in South Pasadena, California.
