FAYE DUNAWAY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Faye Dunaway was born on January 14th, 1941 in Bascom, Florida with the first name Dorothy.  Her father, John MacDowell Dunaway was employed as an army officer and her mother, Grace April was a house wife.  After graduating from high school she went on to study at the University of Florida and later transferred to Boston University where she earned a college degree in acting.

Soon she was being offered a role on Broadway performing in a production called, "A Man For All Seasons" with the American National Theatre and Academy.  After gaining some more experience as a stage actress she began to break into the television and film industry.

Some of her earlier roles were on the television series, "Seaway" (1965) and such films as, "The Happening" (1967), "Hurry Sundown" (1967) and "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967) which was the role that took her career to a whole new level. and earned Faye her first Oscar nomination.

As her career progressed she was seen on the big screen in such films as, "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1968), "Three Days of the Condor" (1975), "Little Big Man" (1970), "Chinatown" (1974), "The Four Musketeers" (1974), "Eyes of Laura Mars" (1978) and "Network" (1976) for which Faye won an Academy Award for Best Actress.

As time progressed decent film roles were becoming less available to her and demand for her as an actress was decreasing.  However she made a comeback with her role in the 1987 film, "Barfly" for which Faye was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

Along with film work she has also appeared on a number of television series such as, "Columbo", "Soul Food", "Touched By an Angel", "A Will of Their Own", "Alias" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".

Faye has also not neglected her initial love of acting working as a stage actress.  In 1996 she toured in a production of, "Master Class"

She has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame  and was ranked #65 in Empire magazines, "The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" in 1997.  She also started a production company called, Port Bascom.

Faye has been married twice throughout her lifetime.  Her first husband was Peter Wolf whom she wed in 1974 but divorced just four years later.  Her second marriage was to Terry O'Neill in 1982 and after having one child, Liam whom they adopted, this marriage came to an end in 1987.
