ELLIOTT GOULD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Elliott Gould was born on August 29th, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York City with the birth name Elliott Goldstein.  His parents, Lucille and Bernard Goldstein were both Jewish immigrants and he was raised in New York.  He graduated from the Professional Children's School and then went on to pursue a career as an actor.  
 
Throughout his career he has become most well known for his roles in such films as, "M*A*S*H" also starring Donald Sutherland, Sally Kellerman, Tom Skerritt, Gary Burghoff and Robert Duvall and "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" co-starring with Natalie Wood, Robert Culp and Dyan Cannon.  He also has added to his resume numerous other film roles throughout his career such as, "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) starring alongside Dirk Bogarde, James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Edward Fox, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Hardy Krüger, Laurence Olivier, Robert Redford and Maximilian Schell, "Capricorn One" (1977) co-starring Brenda Vaccaro, James Brolin, Sam Waterston, Hal Holbrook, David Huddleston, Karen Black and Telly Savalas, "The Lady Vanishes" (1979) also starring Cybill Shepherd, Angela Lansbury, Herbert Lom, Arthur Lowe and Ian Carmichael, "The Long Goodbye" (1973) with Sterling Hayden, Nina Van Pallandt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Bouton and John Carradine, two Walt Disney films "The Last Flight of Noah's Ark" (1980) with Genevieve Bujold and Ricky Schroder and "The Devil and Max Devlin" (1980) co-starring Bill Cosby.
 
In addition to his film work he has also worked as a stage actor on Broadway in such productions as, "Irma La Douce", "Say, Darling", "I Can Get It For You Wholesale", "Drat! The Cat"" and "Little Murders".  Plus he has also managed to get cast on a variety of television series making guest appearances such as on, "Emergency Room" (1983), "E/R" (1984-1985), "L.A. Law" (1993), "Kim Possible' (2003-2007), "Law & Order" (2009) and he has hosted, "Saturday Night Live" a total of six times.  
 
Some of his more recent roles have been on the television hit series, "Friends" and in the films, "Ocean's Eleven", "Ocean's Twelve" and Ocean's Thirteen" starring alongside stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bernie Mac, Ellen Barkin, Scott Caan, Casey Affleck and Carl Reiner and many others.  He also has a number of films in post production that are set to release soon such as, "Divorce Invitation", "Fred", "Live at the Foxes Den" and "He Loves Me".  Along with working as an actor, he is currently a member of the National Board of Directors for the Screen Actors Guild.
 
Elliott has married three times throughout his lifetime.  His first wife was Barbra Streisand whom he married in 1963 and they had one child together before the marriage came to an end in 1971.  He then married Jennifer Bogart in 1973 and they had two children before ending their marriage in 175.  In 1978, he decided to reconcile with Jennifer and they re-married however after one year they decided they were not meant to be together and the marriage was dissolved.  He resides in Los Angeles and has not re-married but remains working in the industry.
