DAVID WARNER BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
David Warner was born on July 29th, 1941 in Manchester, England, born to Doreen and Herbert Simon Warner. As a child his parents never married and moved quite frequently and he attended a number of schools, never being able to really have an established childhood. When he was a teenage boy, his parents separated and he was raised by his father and step mother.
After receiving his education from Feldon School in Leamington he was still undecided on what type of career he wanted so he worked a number of odd jobs before deciding to enroll at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, however, he did not stay there too long as he was unhappy with his experience.
Warner then joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and soon was appearing in such productions as, "Tom Jones", "Morgan!" and "Hamlet". Other early stage credits included, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Tempest", "Julius Caesar", "Henry IV, Part!" and "Eh?".
Now with quite a bit of experience on his resume he began to break into the film industry and it was just a matter of time before he began appearing in such films as, "Tom Jones" (1965), "The Omen" (1976), "The Thirty Nine Steps" (1978), "Time After Time" (1979), "Time Bandits" (1981), "TRON" (1982), "Waxwork" (1988), "Hanna's War" (1988), "Tripwire" (1990) "Titanic" (1997)
Many know him from his roles in Star Trek, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987),
"Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" (1989) and "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" (1991). He also made quite a name for himself in the industry when he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries for his role on, "Masada", playing Pomponius Falco.
Other well known film roles include, "The Man with Two Brains" (1983), "Shergar" (1999), "Planet of the Apes" (2001) and "Back to the Secret Garden" (2001).
He has also done voiceover work for such audio plays as, "Sympathy for the Devil" (2003) and the 2007 audio drama, "Circular Time". Other audio play credits include, "The Adventures of the Diogenes Damsel" (2008) and voice work on the animated series, "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman: The Animated Series", among other various projects.
Warner has married twice, first in 1969 to Harriet Lidgren and they remained married until 1972. He then married Sheila Kent in 1979 and this marriage lasted until 2005, ending in divorce after having one child together.
David Warner remains working in the industry with some of his more recent roles being on the television series, "Masterpiece Mystery" (2010), "Midsommer Murders" (2011), "Mad Dogs" (2012) and soon to release the series, "Dr. Who" in 2013. He is also currently in post-production with the film, "Before I Sleep" scheduled to release in theaters 2013.
