DANNY TREJO BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Danny Trejo was born on May 16th, 1944 in Echo Park in Los Angeles, California, born to Alice Rivera and Dan Trejo He had a very troubled childhood. He was a drug addict and spent numerous amounts of time in and out of jail being charged with such crimes as armed robbery.
After serving some time as San Quentin prison, where he excelled at boxing and won the lightweight and welter weight boxing titles, he completed a 12-step rehabilitation program and his life took a change for the better. He began speaking at drug addiction meetings and during one presentation, he met a man who needed his help.
It was this turn of events that sparked his career as an actor when he went to help this man on the set of the film, "Runaway Train" (1985) starring Jon Voight, Eric Roberts, Rebecca De Mornay, Hank Worden, Dennis Franz, Tiny Lister, Kenneth McMillan, Kyle T. Heffner and John P. Ryan and he was asked to work as an extra on set.
The screenwriter on this film remembered Trejo's boxing talents from when, he too, served time at San Quentin and Trejo was offered the sum of $350 per day to train the actors on set in boxing. When the director of the film, Andrey Konchalovskiy saw Trejo training, he was offered a lead role in the film.
Due to his appearance, tattoo marking and scars on his face, the majority of characters from this point on his career are portraying the assassin, villain or overall 'bad guy' role. Armstrong, Luke Askew, William Smith, Darlanne Fluegel, Thalmus Rasulala, Rene Enríquez and Mills Watson and "Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects" (1989) starring Charles Bronson, Bill McKinney, James Pax, Sy Richardson, Perry Lopez and Peggy Lipton.

In addition he has voice characters on the television series, "Family Guy", "The Young and the Restless", "The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange", "Young Justice" and "King of the Hill".
Along with his highly successful film career, over the years he makes occasional television appearances. Some of the more well known series he has worked on include, "Monk", "Desperate Housewives", "Baywatch", "Vanishing Sons", "Fallen Angels", "N.Y.P.D. Blue", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "The X-Files", "Grounded for Life" and "Heist".
Trejo has married only once to Debbie Trejo in 1997 and they have four children total from previous relationships. Currently, the marriage is in the process of ending in divorce.
Danny Trejo remains working as a highly desired actor with his most recent appearances on the films, "Skinny Dip" (2011), "The Insomniac" (2012), "Mucho Dinero" (2013), "Vengeance" (2013) with Diamond Dallas Page, "Raggedy Anne" (2013), "In the Blood" (2013), "179th Street" (2013) and "Ambition", not set with a release date yet.
