CHIEF THUNDERCLOUD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Chief Thundercloud was born on April 12th, 1899 Muskogee, Indian Territory, USA which is now known as Oklahoma City.  His birth name was Victor Daniels and he was the first of nine children born to parents Dark Cloud and Morning Star.

Thundercloud was raised on a ranch in Arizona and went on to college at the University of Arizona in Tucson.  He was very athletic and also excelled in his studies.
 
After he graduated from college he found work  on cattle ranches, rodeos, a mining foreman and even got involved in boxing before deciding to relocate to Hollywood in the late 1920's.
 
His interest in the entertainment industry began first with trying to make a career out of singing tribal songs and working in the film industry as a stuntman.  In 1938, he took on the character role of, Tonto, in a serial called, "The Lone Ranger" and then it's sequel, "The Lone Ranger Rides Again" (1939).  It was this character he portrayed that earned him his stardom in the industry.  He also played the lead role in a Paramount film called, "Geronimo" (1939).
 
Thundercloud married once to Frances Delmar, a former singer, and passed away rather young at the age of fifty six on December 1st, 1955, after receiving surgery for stomach cancer in Ventura County, California on November 30th, 1955.  He was survived by his wife and their two children.  He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
