Charlie Sheen ACTOR

Charlie Sheen was born on September 3rd, 1965 in New York City, New York with the birth name Carlos Irwin Estevez.  His father, Martin Sheen was a Broadway stage actor and his mother Janet was a New York art student.  He had three siblings who all also pursued careers as actors.
As a young boy, Charlie showed an interest in acting and at the age of nine he worked on a television film with his father called, "The Execution of Private Slovik" (1974) co-starring Mariclare Costello, Ned Beatty and Gary Busey.  He attended Santa Monica High School and was involved in acting there.  However, prior to earning his high school diploma he was expelled from school for bad grades.
Regardless of lacking a high school diploma, Charlie continued to pursue a career as an actor.  Soon he was working on such films as, "Apocalypse Now" (1979) as an extra with stars including Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen, Sam Bottoms, Dennis Hopper, Laurence Fishburne, Harrison Ford and Scott Glenn, "Red Dawn" (1984) also starring Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson, Ben Johnson, Jennifer Grey, William Smith, Harry Dean Stanton and Powers Boothe, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986) starring Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, Alan Ruck and Jennifer Grey, "Platoon" (1986) starring with Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker and Johnny Depp, "Wall Street" (1987) starring alongside Michael Douglas, Daryl Hannah, Martin Sheen, Terence Stamp, Hal Holbrook, John C. McGinley and James Spader, "Young Guns" (1988) also starring Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney, Casey Siemaszko, Terence Stamp, Terry O'Quinn, Brian Keith and Jack Palance, "Eight Men Out" (1988) with John Cusack, "Major League" (1989) starring Tom Berenger, Wesley Snipes, James Gammon, Rene Russo, Margaret Whitton and Corbin Bernsen, "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989) starring Tom Cruise, Kyra Sedgwick, Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, Vivica Fox and Ed Lauter and "Hot Shots!" (1991) co-starring Cary Elwes, Valeria Golino, Lloyd Bridges, Kevin Dunn, Jon Cryer, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and Ryan Stiles.
Although his career was on the right track, he was often in the media attention for the wrong reasons.  He had a reputation as an alcoholic, drug user and womanizer.  He had a couple charges against him for battery and had to attend drug rehab for his addiction.
In 2000, he had cleaned up his act and his professional career began to take off again.  He was cast in the television series, "Spin City" (2003) for which he was nominated for two ALMA Awards and won his first Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television series.
His next huge hit followed with a role as Charlie on the series, "Two and a Half Men" (2003).  This show became a huge success and things were finally heading in the right direction for him.  He earned an ALMA award as well as three Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations.  During his last season on the show, Charlie was earning $1.8 million per episode.
Although his professional life and personal life were finally in sync he was soon back in the media over relationship issues with his second wife, Denise Richards.  They were married 2002 through 2006 and had two children together.  He was married once before to Donna Peeple from 1995 through 1996 and he did marry for a third time to Brooke Mueller in 2008 and had two more children before this marriage also ended in 2011.
Things took a turn for the worse when on March 7th, 2011 he was fired from his role on the series, "Two and a Half Men" by CBS and Warner Brothers.  He had been accused of making public derogatory comments about the creator of the series and Charlie fought back with filing a lawsuit which was settled in September 2011.
Although, he has graced the media numerous times, Charlie remains working as an actor in the industry.  Along with his acting, he started a clothing line called Sheen Kidz and has also recently partnered with, electronic cigarettes.
Charlie Sheen has been involved with a number of charitable organizations and fund raisers such as being the spokesperson for the, Lee national Denim Day breast cancer fundraiser as well as being a supporter of Aid for AIDS.  His latest cause was in 2011 when he became involved with supporting babies born with, Congenital diaphragmatic hernia's.
Despite his tainted history, he still has a huge fan base and remains working as an actor in the industry.  Soon to release are his last known two roles in the films, "She Wants Me" and "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III" (both 2012).
