CHAD EVERETT BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Chad Everett was born on June 11th, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana with the birth name Raymon Lee Cramton to parents Virdeen Ruth and Harry Clyde Cramton.  As a student at Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan, he developed an interest in acting and participated in a number of school productions.  

After high school he attended Wayne University and after graduation he moved to Los Angeles, California where he signed a contract with Warner Brothers and took on the stage name Chad Everett. 
 
His acting career began with television work on the series, "The Dakotas" (1963) followed by some small roles on a number of films such as, "Get Yourself a College Girl" (1964) and "Made in Paris" (1964).
 
As his career progressed to the mid 60's he was being cast in a number of lead roles in films such as, "Johnny Tiger" (1966) and "Return of the Gunfighter" (1967) with Robert Taylor.  Throughout his career he appeared in over forty films and television series.
 
Everett is best known for his role portraying Dr. Joe Gannon in the 1970's television drama, "Medical Center" (1969) which earned him two Golden Globe Awards and Emmy nominations as well.  Throughout his acting career he has never been typecast to one specific character, he has played everything from a doctor, to a bad guy, to an airline pilot.  
 
When "Medical Center" was cancelled he was cast in another series called, "Centennial" (1978) and also did a number of television films and appearances such as, "The Intruder Within" (1981), "The Love Boat" (1977) and "Murder, She Wrote".
 
Everett is still working today with his most recent appearances being on, "Psycho" (1998), "Mulholland Dr." (2001) and the film, "View From the Top" (2003).  He has married only once to Shelby Grant whom he married on May 22nd, 1966 and they remain together today with two children.
