CAROL LYNLEY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Carol Lynley was born on February 13th, 1942 in New York City, New York with the birth name Carole Ann Jones to parents Frances and Cyril. Her initial introduction into the entertainment industry was working as a child model. Her photograph was put on he front cover of Life Magazine was she was just fifteen years old and Walt Disney saw her photo and decided to cast her in the film, "The Light in the Forest" (1958) starring Fess Parker, Joanne Dru, James MacArthur and Wendell Corey.
She continued working as an actress but not limited to films alone, she also made a number of Broadway appearances. Some of her other big screen roles were in, "Blue Denim" (1959) co-starring Macdonald Carey, Marsha Hunt, Brandon De Wilde, Vaughn Taylor, Roberta Shore, Warren Berlinger and William Schallert, "Return to Peyton Place" (1961) directed by Jose Ferrer and also starring Tuesday Weld, Jeff Chandler, Eleanor Parker, Mary Astor and Robert Sterling, "Under the Yum Yum Tree" (1963) starring alongside Jack Lemmon, Paul Lynde, Dean Jones, Robert Lansing, Bill Bixby, Imogene Coca and Edie Adams, "Bunny Lake is Missing" (1965) with Laurence Olivier, "The Cardinal" (1963) starring with Tom Tryon, Romy Schneider, Dorothy Gish, Burgess Meredith, Robert Morse, Jill Haworth, Ossie Davis, John Saxon, Cecil Kellaway and John Huston and "Harlow" (1965) also starring Barry Sullivan, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., John Williams, Lloyd Bochner, Hermione Baddeley and Audrey Totter, to name just a few.
Lynley also had a decent television career making appearances on such series as, "The Big Valley", "Mannix", "It Takes a Thief", "Night Gallery", "The Invaders", "Kojak", "Hawaii Five-O", "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour", "Shirley Temple Theater" and "Charlie's Angels".
Along with a successful acting career, Lynley also kept up her modeling and even agreed to pose nude for Playboy Magazine in the march 1965 edition. She married only once to Michael Selsman from December 30th, 1960 and they remained married for only four years divorcing after having one child, Jill Victoria born in 1962.
Her current partner in life is David Frost who is also in the entertainment industry working as a producer and writer. They have had an on and off relationship for eighteen years.
She earned a large amount of press coverage for her portrayal of the film legend, Jean Harlow in a 1965 production. Today she is not really working in the industry on a regular basis although in 2006 she appeared in a 30 minute film, "Vic" which was written and directed by, Sage Stallone the son of Sylvester Stallone.
