CAMERON DIAZ BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Cameron Diaz was born on August 30th, 1972 in San Diego, California with the middle name Michelle to parents Billie and Emilio Diaz.  At the age of sixteen she left home and lived in a number of different places working on pursuing a modeling career.  When she was twenty one years old she came back to California and found work as a model in Los Angeles.  She then had a agent who helped her get an audition for a film, "The Mask" in 1994.  She was cast in the film and her acting career was ready to begin.
 
Although she had no acting training she became an overnight success from this film and decided to really concentrate on improving her acting skills before she undertook any more high profile film roles.  She was seen on smaller films such as, "The Last Supper" (1995), "Feeling Minnesota" (1996), "She's the One" (1996) and "Head Above Water" (1996).
 
Now with some more experience on her resume she was ready to take on more challenging and larger film roles such as in, "My Best Friend's Wedding" (1997) and the highly successful film, "There's Something About Mary" (1998).
 
Her latest appearances have been on such films as, "My Sister's Keeper" (2009), "Shrek Forever After" (2010), "Bad Teacher" (2011) and soon to release, "Gambit" (2012).
 
She has been honored in a number of ways throughout her career such as being chosen by Empire magazine as one of the, "100 Sexiest Stars" in 1995 as well as being chosen by People's magazine as "One of the 50 Most Beautiful People" in the world in 1998.  In 2008 she made the list as #26 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100".  She was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 
 
Diaz is very good friends with Drew Barrymore ever since the two worked on the film, "Charlie's Angels" (2000) and she currently remains living in Los Angeles, California.  She has yet to marry and has no children of her own.
