BRECKIN MEYER BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Breckin Meyer was born on may 7th, 1974 in Minneapolis, Minnesota with the middle name Erin, born to Chris and Dorothy Meyer. He and his two brothers were raised in Los Angeles and attended Beverly Hills High School. During grade school he developed a friendship with actress Drew Barrymore who introduced him to her agent.
He began his involvement in the acting industry by first appearing on a number of commercials and later making an appearance on the game show, "Child's Play" in 1982. After high school he intended on studying at California State University, however, he decided to forgo school and focus on a career as an actor.
Meyer then began appearing on a number of films such as, "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" (1991) starring Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, Lisa Zane, Yaphet Kotto, Shon Greenblatt, Ricky Dean Logan, Lezlie Deane, Tobe Sexton and Johnny Depp, "Clueless" (1995) starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash and Brittany Murphy, "Escape from L.A." (1996) produced and co-written by Kurt Russell, who also stars as Snake Plissken plus Steve Buscemi, Stacy Keach, Bruce Campbell, Pam Grier, Cliff Robertson, Peter Fonda, Robert Carradine, Michelle Forbes and Georges Corraface, "Dancer, Texas Pop. 81" (1998) co-starring Peter Facinelli, Eddie Mills and Ethan Embry, "Go" (1999) starring alongside William Fichtner, Katie Holmes, Jay Mohr, Sarah Polley and Scott Wolf and features Taye Diggs, Breckin Meyer, Timothy Olyphant, Desmond Askew and J. E. Freeman, "Road Trip" (2000), "Rat Race" (2001), "Kate & Leopold" (2001) and "Blast" (2004).
Along with working as a film actor, Meyer has also added a number of television series credits to his resume such as, "The Home Court", "Clueless", "Party of Five", "Kim Possible", "Married to the Kellys", "House M.D." and "Party Down".
In addition to his acting talents he is also a talented drummer and vocalist. He has recorded such songs as, "Carnival", "Dave", "None of Your Business" and "All I Want". He also owns a production company with two other actors, Seth Green and Ryan Phillippe.
He is currently married to his only wife, Deborah Kaplan whom he wed in 2001 and they have one child. His most recent roles include, appearances on the films, "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" (2009), "Street Sweeper Social Club" (2009) and soon to release in 2013, "Three Geezers!".
He has also done voice over work for, "Robot Chicken" and on the television series, "King of the Hill". Breckin Meyer has returned to his love of music and is the drummer for, "The Freedom Fighter Orchestra".
