BRAD PITT BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Brad Pitt was born on December 18th, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma with the birth name William Bradley Pitt to parents Jane Etta Hillhouse and William Pitt. His family raised him and his younger brother and sister in Springfield, Missouri.
Throughout high school he was very involved in athletics, musicals and being a member of the student government. After graduating from Kickapoo High, he went on to study at the university of Missouri and chose to major in journalism. Without earning his College degree he chose to relocate to California and pursue a career as an actor.
Once living in Los Angeles Brad Pitt found various jobs to help support himself such as working as a limo driver, a refrigerator mover and even was El Pollo Loco's Chicken mascot while also taking acting lessons. When he finally had the chance to get involved in the acting industry he began with being cast in a number of small roles such as in the film, "No Way Out", "No Man's Land" and "Less Than Zero". He also appeared on the television series, "Growing Pains", "Dallas" (1987), "Head of the Class", "Freddy's Nightmares" and "Thirty Something".
Soon Pitt was being cast in such films as, "Across the Tracks" (1991), "Thelma & Louise" (1991), "A River Runs Through It" (1992) and "Interview with the Vampire" (1994) for which he received his first Academy Award nomination. He continued his success with winning a Golden Globe Award and another Academy Award nomination for his role in the film, "12 Monkeys" (1995). In 1998 he was cast as the lead in the film, "Meet Joe Black", however many critics and viewers were skeptical of the film and his performance overall.
As his career progressed he continued to appear in successful features such as, "Fight Club" (1999), "Snatch" (2000), "The Mexican" (2001) costarring Julia Roberts, "Ocean's Eleven" (2001), "Ocean's Twelve" (2004), "Troy" (2004), "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", "Ocean's Thirteen" (2007) and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008) for which he earned his 2nd Academy Award nomination. His film, "Troy" remains today his most successful film commercially earning 364 million outside of the United States and 133 million nationally.
He has only married once to actress Jennifer Aniston in 2000 and they never had any children before the marriage ended five years later. He then went on date another famous actress, Angelina Joie and the couple now live together and have six children total, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne are their biological children and then they have adopted three other children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara.
Brad Pitt has become one of the most adored male actors of all times. Women everywhere dream of a chance to meet him and aspiring actors and actresses dream to have the opportunity to work on set with him. Throughout his career he has not only been a successful actor but has also become involved in the other side of the industry as a film producer. He owns a company called Plan B Entertainment and Pitt has received two Academy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations, for which he won one. His company also produced, "The Departed" (2007) which won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Hid company also produced, "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (2007) a western drama. This film earned Pitt a Volpi Cup award for Best Actor at the 64th Venice International Film Festival.
Some of his latest appearances have been in such films as, "Inglourious Basterds" (2009), "The Tree of Life" (2011) and "Moneyball" (2011). Pitt along with some of his closest actor friends is also involved in a number of humanitarian causes and charities. He supports the ONE Campaign which is an organization that focuses on combating AIDS and poverty in developing countries. He had his live-in girlfriend and mother of his children, Angelina Jolie are very active in donating money to assist organizations that try to help the crisis in the Darfur region. Pitt is also one of the founders for the, 'Not on Our Watch' organization that puts focus and global attention to stop and prevent genocides.
Brad Pitt has been named as one of the 25 sexiest stars in film history and in 1995 he won People's magazines Sexiest Man Alive. He has said that him and his current live-in girlfriend Jolie will marry when all Americans are able to legally marry regardless of gender.
