BOBBY 'WHEEZER' HUTCHINS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Bobby 'Wheezer' Hutchins was born on March 29th, 1925 in Tacoma, Washington with the birth name Robert E. Hutchins. His parents were James and Olga Hutchins and his family relocated to Los Angeles, California when he first became involved in the acting industry.
Hutchins began as a child actor directly being cast as a regular cast member of the series, "Our Gang" from 1925 through 1933. In total throughout his career he appeared in fifty eight "Our Gang" films some of which were, "Bouncing Babies", "Pups is Pups", "Big Ears", "Dogs is Dogs" and "Mush and Milk" which was his final film before departing the series.
He did not retire from acting completely. He found work in a couple films in the early 30's such as, "Pie for Two" (1933). He then chose to move back to Tacoma, Washington with his family and proceed with a normal childhood. He enrolled in public school and earned his high school diploma.
Hutchins then decided to join the United States Army in 1943 and he served during World War II. In 1945, he became an air cadet and on May 17th, 1945 he was completing his training while trying to land his plane, when he suffered a mid air collision at Merced Army Air Field in Merced, California. He passed away instantly just one week prior to graduating from flying school.
