BLAIR BROWN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Blair Brown was born on April 23rd, 1946 in Washington, District of Columbia with the birth name Bonnie Blair Brown, born to Elizabeth Ann and Milton Henry Brown. After she graduated from The Madeira School in Virginia she chose to pursue a career as an actress.
She first gained experience as a stage actress performing at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and performed in a number of other stage productions before enrolling at the National Theatre School of Canada.
After earning a degree in drama in 1969, Brown began pursuing a fulltime career as an actress. Her first film role was in 1973 on "The Paper Chase" starring Timothy Bottoms, Lindsay Wagner, Edward Herrmann and John Houseman. She soon followed this role with more substantial film roles such as, "The Choirboys" (1977) features an ensemble cast including Randy Quaid, James Woods, Charles Durning, Louis Gossett Jr., Peter King, Stephen Macht and Don Stroud "And I Alone Survived" (1978), "Altered States" (1980) starring William Hurt and Drew Barrymore, "One Trick Pony" (1980) also starring Paul Simon and Rip Torn, "Continental Divide" (1981) "Flash of Green" (1984) co-starring Ed Harris, Richard Jordan and George Coe and "Stealing Home" (1988) also starring Mark Harmon, Jodie Foster, Jonathan Silverman, Helen Hunt and Harold Ramis.
She earned her first Golden Globe nomination for her role in, "Continental Divide" (1981), opposite actor, John Belushi. Other film credits she has added to her resume include, "The Astronaut's Wife" (1999) starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron, "Space Cowboys" (2000) starring alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, James Garner, William Devane, Courtney Vance and Marcia Gay Harden, "Loverboy" (2005) starring with Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Matt Dillon and Sandra Bullock and "Sentinel" (2006) starring Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, Eva Longoria, Martin Donovan and Kim Basinger.
Along with her stage and film work, Brown has also appeared on a variety of television series such as, "The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd", "The Rockford Files", "Kojak", "Frasier", "Touched by an Angel", "ER", "Ed" and "1-800 Missing".
She is also well known for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy on the miniseries in 1983, "Kennedy" for which she earned her second Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Brown has never neglected her love for live performing and some of her more well known stage roles include, "The Comedy of Errors", "The Threepenny Opera", "Secret Rapture", "Arcadia", "Cabaret" and "The Clean House".
Not only has Brown remained active in the industry as a stage, television and film actress, she has also made time to do a number of voice over projects, some of which include, narrating books and a number of documentaries.
Blair Brown has never officially married, although she was in a relationship from 1976 through 1985 with actor, Richard Jordan and together they had one son. Her most recent role is as a recurring member of the cast of the television series, "Fringe" (2008-2012) portraying Nina Sharp.
