BENSON FONG BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Benson Fong was born on October 10th, 1916 in Sacramento, California.  After he earned his high school diploma he briefly studied in China before later relocating to California.
 
Early in his acting career alongside taking on small acting roles he also operated a grocery store in Sacramento.  Some of his more well known film roles were in, "The Keys of the Kingdom" (1954) starring Gregory Peck, Thomas Mitchell and Vincent Price, "His Majesty O'Keefe" (1954) starring Burt Lancaster, "The Left Hand of God" (1955) starring Humphrey Bogart, Gene Tierney, Lee J. Cobb and Agnes Moorehead, "Flower Drum Song" (1961) starring Nancy Kwan, "Girls! Girls! Girls!" (1962) starring Elvis Presley and "Our Man Flint" (1966) starring James Coburn.  
 
Along with his work as a film actor he appeared on a number of television series such as, "Perry Mason", "Kung Fu", "Bonanza", "The Wild Wild West", "Ironside", "Police Story" and "Bewitched".
 
He is also well known for his role as the number 3 son, 'Tommy Chan' in the, Charlie Chan films between 1944 and 1946. 
 
In addition to his career as an actor he also owned a number of well known restaurants in California known as, "Ah Fong's Restaurants". 
 
Benson Fong married only once to lady by the name of Maylia in 1946 and they had five children and remained together until he passed away on August 1st, 1987 in Los Angeles, California after suffering from a stroke.
