BEA BENADERET BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Bea Benaderet was born on April 4th, 1906 in New York City, New York and was raised in San Francisco by Samuel and Margaret Benaderet.  She knew early on that she loved to entertain and by the age of twelve she was already appearing on the radio.
 
Her career in entertainment began as doing a number of voices for various characters on the radio for such shows as, "Fibber McGee and Molly", "My Favorite Husband" and "The Jack Benny Show".  She is also well known for playing the character of Blanche Morton on the radio and television show, "The George Burns & Gracie Allen Show" as well as playing Lucille Ball's best friend on, "My Favorite Husband".   
 
She became most well known as the voice of Betty Rubble in, "The Flinstones" (1960).  Other voice over work she did was the voice of Granny for the Warner Brothers Cartoon series, "Tweety" which she performed from 1943 through the mid 1950's.
 
Other television credits she added to her resume were on such shows as, "Petticoat Junction", "Green Acres", "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "77 Sunset Strip" among others. 
 
She married twice throughout his lifetime, first to Jim Bannon from 1938 through 1950 and together they had two children.  Her second marriage was to Gene Twombly in 1957 and they remained together until she passed away on October 13th, 1968 in Los Angeles, California after suffering from a left lung carcinoma.  Her remains were entombed in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood, California.  Her second husband, Gene Twombly passed away just four days after her from a heart attack and was entombed beside her.
