BARBARA BAIN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Barbara Bain was born on September 13th, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois with the birth name Millicent Fogel.  After completing High School she attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a degree in Sociology.   
 
Bain then decided to relocated to New York City to look for work.  She became involved in the entertainment industry working as a fashion model as well as a dancer.  She attended the Actors Studio under the training of Lee Strasberg and realized how much she enjoyed acting.  It was here at the Studio she met her future husband, Martin Landau whom she married in 1957 and together they ended up having two children together, Juliet and Susan.  In 1993 the couple divorced and she never remarried.  

Barbara Bain is most well remembered for her role on the television series, "Mission: Impossible" (1966) portraying the character, Cinnamon Carter.  Barbara became the first actress in television to ever be awarded three consecutive Emmy Awards from 1967-1969.   She also worked on another well known television series called, "Space: 1999" (1975).
 
Along with a successful television career she also earned a number of awards for her stage acting career such as a Los Angeles Critic's Circle and Drama Logue award for her work on, "Wings", "Happy Days" and "The Chairs".       
 
She has also been involved in a number of charitable causes throughout her lifetime such as being the founder of the Screen Actors Guild, "Bookpals" Program which has over 300 members who travel around and read to children throughout the Los Angeles School district.  The program has recently expanded to include other areas across the United States.  She is also a lifetime member of the prestigious Actors Studio. 
 
In 2008 Bain appeared on an episode of the series, "Ben 10: Alien Force" and has now retired from acting and lives in Hollywood, California not remarried.
