ANTHONY EISLEY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Anthony Eisley was born on January 19th, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with the birth name Frederick Glendinning Eisley. His family relocated throughout the United States due to his fathers employment, therefore he grew up in various places.
From a young age, he developed an interest in acting and would often participate in various school productions. After earning his high school diploma he joined the united States Navy and then decided to go to college after completing his military service.
Anthony went on to study drama at the University of Miami and after earning his college degree, he found work with a stock company in Pennsylvania.
He gained some stage experience appearing over he course of his career in such productions as, "A Slight Case of Murder", "Mister Roberts", "Picnic", "The Desperate Hours" and "Who Was that Lady?".
Eisley also worked on a variety of film and television shows during his career as an actor. Some of his more well known film roles included, "Operation Pacific" (1951) starring John Wayne, Patricia Neal, Ward Bond, Scott Forbes and Philip Carey, "Fearless Fagan" (1952) starring Janet Leigh and Carleton Carpenter, "The Wasp Woman" (1959), "Portrait of a Mobster" (1961) starring Vic Morrow, Peter Breck and Leslie Parrish, "Lightning Bolt" (1965), "Frankie and Johnny" (1966) starring Elvis Presley and Donna Douglas, "The Navy vs. the Night Monsters" (1966) co-starring Mamie Van Doren, "The Doll Squad" (1974) also starring Michael Ansara and Get Christie Love! starring Teresa Graves.
Anthony is most well known for his role on the television series, "Hawaiian Eye" (1959-1963) co-starring with Robert Conrad and Connie Stevens. Other television credits included, "Racket Squad", "Navy Log", "The Loretta Young Show", "Zane Grey Theatre", "Dragnet", "Emergency!", "Cannon", "Knotts Landing", "The F.B.I.", "The Wild Wild West" and "Ironside".
Anthony Eisley married only once throughout his lifetime to Judith Tubbs whom he wed in 1951 and together they had four children and remained married until she passed away in 1994. He did not re-marry and on January 20th, 2003, Anthony passed away in Woodland Hills, California after suffering from heart failure. His remains are buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, California.
